DR. CLARA OLCOTT
I love how Facial Plastic Surgery allows me to explore the artistic side of medicine. Growing up in Hong Kong, a true metropolis, gave me an opportunity to appreciate art in a multicultural way. I was particularly drawn to portraits because of how humanity is exemplified by our faces and expressions. I’ve also always loved the study of science and mending things. Facial plastic surgery is just the perfect marriage of both arts & science! It’s about applying scientific knowledge while adding an aesthetic quality to it.
What l love most about my work, however, is the impact it can make on someone’s emotional wellbeing. Seeing the expression on my patients’ post-op faces is priceless. That’s when I know the amount of effort and time I spent on them had multiplied exponentially in its outcome - the few hours we spend in surgery can turn into lifelong happiness, confidence & success.

DR. OLCOTT’S BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Olcott graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. She worked in clinical pathology and respiratory research labs prior to matriculating to medical school at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Her strive for excellence led to her election to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
Dr. Olcott then went on an intensive 5 years of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery residency training in mastering her surgical skills at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. During that time, she participated in multiple surgical mission trips to Ifugao, Philippines where she performed cleft lip and palate surgeries. She also pursued additional fellowship training in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the renowned Lenox Hill-Manhattan Eye Ear & Throat Hospitals in New York City, under the mentorship of Dr. Steven Pearlman and Dr. Thomas Romo. Having trained with Dr. Milton Waner in NYC, Dr. Olcott also has invaluable experience in vascular malformation and birthmark treatment.
On top of it all, Dr. Olcott went to Seoul, Korea to master the special techniques in perfecting Asian rhinoplasty and other cosmetic surgeries.
